Application Services Engineer

Department: 052 M&CS Applications
Location: Nashville, TN

Purpose

This role will be a member of a team managing, developing, deploying and supporting application solutions for our partners. This is a challenging position requiring advanced technical skills, experience, and critical thinking.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • Cross-train with co-workers, sharing knowledge and skill.
  • Mentor and support team members.
  • Escalation point for SAT and TAMs for support tickets.

Work Environment

Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending, frequent near vision use for reading and computer use; frequent stressful conditions (cardiovascular).

Physical Demands

  • Occasionally be able to stand a few hours at a time
  • Lift or hold 80 lbs occasionally for up to 10 minutes

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Typical Schedule would include regular office hours and regular after hours work schedule for maintenance and project tasks. Typical Engineering staff work 40 - 50 hours per week.

Travel

Travel is required less then 10 percent of the time.

Required Education, Experience, and Certifications

  • Bachelorís degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience in a technical role

Preferred Education, Experience, and Certifications

  •  Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or Citrix Certification(s) or equivalent work experience
  •  Proven track record of success in information technology implementation, support and operations
